I am a newbie to this Chapter. I live in Oregon City and have for about 12 years. I am now retired. I was a firefighter for 18 years in King County, WA. I had to step down due to stress on my right leg which was injured in Nam. I then went into field service for an international medical equipment sales company. Started as rookie tech and was promoted 5 times, ending as a District Service Manager for the State of Indiana.
I served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years & 2 days total. Had a very high security clearance and went to CTR A School in Napa, CA. I then volunteered for duty in Vietnam and went thru River School and SERE at NIOTC, Mare Island. in late 65 and early 66. Went to Nam with TF 116. Was on PBR stationed at Can Tho in the Delta. Spent my tour there and then to DD 805, USS Chevalier with another tour of Vietnam as gun support, rescue, and ops of coast of N. Vietnam. Returned stateside and finished in, Inactive Reserve until Honorable Discharged.
